Getting Ready for My Nooshka Bear

For all those that dont know... I'm with child!!!
It's been 6months now and I can't wait to meet the little one. I have been making countless list of all the things needed to prepare for baby's arrival, especially the nursery.

We're waiting for the birth to find out the baby's gender, but it does get tempting every now and then, especially when I have to buy anything, but I'll stay strong.

1. Cot

2. Linen

3. Large rug

4. Paint

5. Closet and Organisers

6. Curtains

7. Laundry bin

8. Compactum / Changing Table

9. Chandelier

10. Night Light

11. Rocking chair

Here are a few ideas I'm loving...

Since we don't know baby's gender, we're opting for gender neutral colours like beige and white and we've recently puchased a mahogony sleigh cot so I'll start planning around that. I'm gonna keep the rest a secret though... So keep checking for the final product.

It's taking eons to get to get winterly cold and i can still pull off some Sprin/Summer looks with a warm jacket over. But the disadvatage is that it'll take just as long to get warm once Spring arrives.
Here are a few items to get you geared up for the cold days...

1. Off-white trench coat to stay warm, every woman needs a coat in her closet and white seems to be one of the big colours this season...

2. Fur gillet- fur made an entry last Autumn/Winter and the trend seems to be stronger this year. This gillets are hot in all coulours especially Plums, Greys and Navy

3. Cable-knit beanie Wool is hot in all colours, especially if its chunky. From cable knit beanies, to scarves and cardigans. These keep you warm and stylish at the same time.

4. Denim dungarees I cant think of anything warmer than dungarees for winter. They make an all-rounder look. You can dress them down with a denim shirt and flat boots or sneakers for a laid back casual look, or you can opt for high heels and a crisp white button up shirt instead.

5. Leather backpack Loooving leather backpacks at the moment. It makes sense to be carrying one of these babies around and leave your hands unexposed when carrying hand bags or clutch bags on those below zero days.

6. Polka dot tights Winter looks shouldnt be dreary and dark, you can still add some playfullness to your outfits by adding a pair of quirky tights. Dots, Stripes and bows look cute on tights.

7. Jordan sneakers (breds or aquas) Without a doubt, these are a mens-wear inspiration for those days when you decide to give your boots a break a be more comfortable.

8. Flat ankle booties Another pair of comfortable winter flats.

9. Oversized sweat shirts These are perfect with a pair of jeans or a leather pencil skirt for that smart casual look.

10. Suede gloves Keep your hands warm in style. Every girl needs to invest in a good pair of either suede or leather gloves.

Fashionista - Thuli Mola

This is Style Alert (SA)

Thuli Mola is the lady behind this fashion movement in Johannesburg. She trades in vintage wear that she restyles and available during her sales.

This are some of the items that were available at her sale this past month, which I couldn't attend... *sob*

Here are some of the looks she styled prior to the sale...

I love how she wears leather and velvet in a modern way and does not look "vintage" and tedious.

She's got great taste too...

This laid-back sweat look is amaze-balls!!

Follow Stlyle Alert (SA) on Facebook for latest outfit updates and sales.

This lady is one to definately look out for.

This pint-sized Russin fashion bombshell knows how to put all kinds of looks together. Her size never limits her to wearing oversized sweaters and coats, she know how to make everything work.

She is the founder of Buro 24/7, a website dedicated mostly to fashion and style, and a former editor for the Russian edition of Harper's Bazaar.

I enjoy seeing her looks during international fashion weeks, she is always one to look for.

I think I'm secretly in love with her sense of style because I'm almost her size and just love how she dresses for her physique.

What to do you think?
